This is another dessert inspired by my wife and her love of coffee and caramel. We met in Washington D.C. 21 years ago, it was autumn. The coffee tart itself is one that I first tasted in 1999 and couldn’t believe how delicious it was, soft creamy coffee custard with crisp almond shortbread. We add salted butter caramel, light vanilla mousse, some crunchy wafer, and dark chocolate to balance and just make this delicious tart fun to eat.
