Yeah, I know it’s a muffin, but it’s kind of more than that. Nowadays most muffins are overloaded with sugar and oil so that they stay moist for days typically having more fat and calories than a croissant if you can believe that. While I can’t give the nutrition facts of our muffins, I can tell you that they are not overloaded with sugar or oil. We start with an orange zest scented buttermilk muffin and mix in blueberries. Before baking we top each muffin with a light cinnamon scented brown sugar oat and almond streusel to give you that touch of coffee cake like quality that I love. It’s a nice light bite to have with your morning coffee or tea, or really anytime.
