Cornetto con crema how do I love thee, let me count the ways.  A plain croissant may always be my go to, but sometimes I want something a little more. That doesn’t mean I want something over the top that is more like a dessert than breakfast, but you know just a little more. Leave it to the Italians to make the mornings just that much better. Similar to croissant, but a bit softer, a touch of lemon, light dusting of powdered sugar, and then the vanilla cream! I am a sucker for pastry cream, it is one of my favorite things. Just a little inside of the cornetto is magical. You get bites with cream and bites without. If you want to be like the Italians you will need to slow down to really enjoy it and you will need a cappuccino too. Tear off pieces from the cornetto, one at a time, and dip them not into the coffee, but the foam of the cappuccino, buongiorno!
