I am generally not a fan of the word hybrid when it comes to food, but I think this latest version of our brownie is a perfect hybrid of fudgy and cakey brownie. In my past I have always been a fudgy brownie kind of guy, cakey brownies never packed enough of a chocolate punch for me. However, recently I have been wanting my brownie to be a bit more cakey. While we have kept our brownie fudgy, we have tweaked how it is made resulting in a cakey and fudgy brownie. We have even increased to four different chocolates used in our brownie, yes! four different varieties of chocolate in one brownie. The brownie is studded with toasted hazelnuts, walnuts, and pecans, and topped with just a touch of salted caramel. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
