I don’t really care what you are celebrating, but a cake makes it better! This is a simple lemon pound cake, based on the one I first made as an apprentice 26 years ago. Simply made with just eggs, sugar, fresh lemon zest, flour, baking powder, cream, and butter. It is the perfect size for a small gathering or simple dinner party.
